About MfSMA, Inc.
The Missouri Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Association, Inc.(MfSMA) is a non-profit organization of professionals involved in floodplain and stormwater management within the State of Missouri. MfSMA is a state-chapter affiliate of the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM). Membership of MfSMA is comprised of local and state government officials, engineers, land surveyors, insurance agents, mortgage lenders, and other private industries and/or individuals engaged in the management of floodplains and/or stormwater. MfSMA organizes an annual conference that serves as an industry and governmental forum for networking and educational purposes. The association also works closely and interacts with the State Emergency Management Agency, which provides several floodplain management courses throughout the year.
MfSMA serves as a link between state and federal government agencies and the local community official and/or private company or individual. In addition, the MfSMA Board of Directors monitors technical, regulatory, and legislative updates through governmental agencies and ASFPM concerning stormwater or floodplain management issues and shares this information to its members.
If you are interested in being involved in our association, please feel free to contact any of our officers or district representatives at [email protected]. We will be happy to provide more information.
MfSMA will not provide membership information to other organizations or individuals for the sale of any products, services, or events and MfSMA will not use communication channels to send communications to any member that is, or may be construed as, an advertisement or solicitation by other organizations or individuals.
